Wired Necklaces with Turquoise Dangles

Most of these pieces have genuine pearls both button and full size 6-8 mm pearls. One with bone as the focal point, another with smoky quartz chips, and some with metal hearts, and finally glass. It's amazing when you wear it, b/c you can't even feel the necklace around your neck. It's very light feeling. The wire is very light too. It's coated so you can't feel it, really... I will be posting some in my shop soon, so come on by and have a look.

Some of these will be for this years Christmas Holiday Gift giving for the girls. I would like to learn how to make jewellery for the boys also to give as gifts for the holidays, but that would probaby be in another year or so.

my own design of crochet 'lil slip-ons

This was made from 100 percent organic cotton. The brand is called lion brand yarn. Size: Medium, 4 Color: #106, Blueberry . It's my own design, I followed no pattern, as a matter of fact, I don't even own any crochet books. My mom was the one I learned from many, many years ago. I happened to remember how to crochet from the one lesson she taught me. It's the simple crochet style. For this one I pearled two together to form a row. This particular piece was approx. length of 18 and a width of 14-17. Sometimes, the starting out is 18 across and end up in the 4th row at 17 across, so somewhere, maybe at the end, I would miss a hole or two, so the sizing is different. I also need to keep-up with a notebook and pen to keep track, and also keep count while I'm crocheting. This is something I need improvement in, so, in the meantime, these 'lil crochet slip-ons will just stay in the family.

I took several shot and angles, so you may see it. The two are different size and depth, but they were my third one, but this one, is a completed set.

Convertible Earirngs

While out of the country I was making some beaded rings on a wire. It didn't turn out the way I thought it would, so by accident, I turned them into earrings. Then on Monday, Oct. 12th, 2009 afternoon I made the same as usual and here I have one to show you. It can be convertible earrings from a straight to a curled loop. I'm going to try to do different things with the same concept and see what comes out of it. I was joking to my jewellery pals - my bro and his fiance that you could hang your key chain at the end of the convertible earrings since it has a lobster clasp attached to the end, so if the wearer decides to have a loop instead of a straight dangle, she may wear it one way or the other. They were laughing. My journey in making jewellery has been fun and new designs in necklaces are underway. Some necklaces are repeats b/c I wanted one and others liked 'em too and I also wanted to do a posting online for sale as well. Then the Holidays are coming up and every year I try to make something. I'm deciphering whether to give Jewellery for the girls and boys something they can use that's also handmade, or to just disembark and go out buying handmade things to give.
