Art I want to get back into... "Beer Bottle Accident"
Back in the year 2004, I painted roughly nine or ten paintings a month for nine months. In that time, I found that throwing away excess oil paint that wasn't used up on the palette, being tossed out was a waste, so I recycled it onto paper cardstock cutouts, watercolor paper using a palette knife, either the metal one, until it broke, I bought a set of plastic ones. I started using the palette knife to spread the recycled oil paint onto cardstock paper enjoyable. Mixing the paint on paper was fun.
Seems like accidents always happen in my work when creativity is in the works. Once I placed empty beer bottle on top of one of my cardstock work of art and didn't realize the paint was still wet, when I cleaned my room and found the bottle was on top of the work, I went to recycle the beer bottle, upon picking up the bottle, the paper stuck to the bottom of it and my initial reaction was, "Oh, no!" Usually, the paper would rip, but I carefully peeled, to my surprise, an impression of a cool semi ring formed with a cool impression left behind. The picture is of the work on cardstock pre-cut, size is 6" x 4" of recycled oil paint.
