Yesterday cooked up a very delioucious baked chicken and wanted to share to you the recipe. I saw it on television, very briefly and took no notes, only to place a few items on the kitchen table as a reminder the next day while still fresh in the mind. You will need one package of chicken breast, washed, dried and remove the fat. a pie pan of wipped or stirred or beaten eggs-whole, and pre-crushed-one can of french fried onions - poured, pre-crushed into a pie pan. Place one chicken breast into the eggs, coating both sides allowing the drip to fall back into the egg pan, coat both sides of the egged chicken in crushed frenches onion and place directly onto un-oiled foiled baking sheet. Repeat for each pieces of chicken breast. Bake at 350 degrees fahrenheit for 10 minutes then 375 degrees fahrenheit for 10 more minutes for side one. Turn each breast over and bake at 375 degrees fahrenheit for 15-20 minutes and remove from heat, slice into thick slices, and serve as a main dish.
Note: to crush the (dried) frenches onion, pour contents into a large zip lock bag, remove most air as much as possible, seal it up, get a rolling pin and roll over the frenches onion until it is crushed. Does not have to be super fine crushed, large chunks tastes better.
Overall taste: Moisture is locked in - since it is baked, no oil is needed b/c it's already in the frenches onion, no salt is need, nor seasoning!
Bon Apetit
